Infused

I'm so excited to introduce you to my guest blogger today. This is Lindsay Slocum. (For those of you who don't know, she is my baby sister.) We have collaborated on a project that we are thrilled to finally share. I'll let Lindsay take it from here!...

"In October of 2020 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It was a complete shock and I was told I needed to start chemo right away. In addition to a treatment plan, my oncologist wanted me to focus on positive thinking, but what I found was that positivity alone falls flat when battling the fear of cancer or any other life-threatening illness. I realized that I needed to completely transform my mind by meditating on the truth of God’s Word. I began a daily practice of meditating on scripture, praying, declaring truth, soaking in worship music and focusing on the power and authority of God. When I would do this my fear would melt away. I would remember how God had brought me through hard times in the past and would believe that He can do it again.

One day as I was praying about an upcoming infusion, God highlighted the word INFUSED and reminded me that because of the Holy Spirit, we are continually being INFUSED with the power of God!

As I have been healing from treatment, several people have reached out and asked how they could help their family members or friends who are going through illness and might need to have infusions. Although there are several things that are kind and helpful, I decided I wanted to create something that would help to INFUSE others with hope and healing. I shared the idea with my sister and prayer partner, Amy, who has a business called “Living in Fringe”, which is a healing ministry based off of the story of the woman in the gospels who touched the fringe of Jesus’ robe and received complete healing. She encouraged me to write down what I had already documented in my cancer journey and put it together for others.

We both believe that just one touch from God can change everything, so we put together these flip booklets with a fringe tassel as a tangible reminder of the healing offered through Christ. We are praying over all who receive this!

Each section of this booklet highlights a supernatural infusion available to us through the power of Jesus and the Holy Spirit living in us, giving us what we need each day. Here are the infusions included: Strength, Hope, Joy, Peace, Love, and Faith. This daily drip includes a prayer prompt, scriptures to meditate on and even a worship playlist. Use it as a weapon to focus on truth, battle fear and trust God. You can take it to appointments, keep it by your couch or in the car...wherever and whenever you need an extra dose of His power and goodness.
